HealthCraft products are designed to be installed on sturdy surfaces such as drywall, tile and solid surface walls. The placement of the product does vary if it is possible to install on specific surfaces. However, with the use of the Hollow Wall Anchor there are more possibilities to install products where studs are not found.

There are 3 steps for uninstalling the SuperPole. See the product page for instructions, why can show you visually how to uninstall (by following the installation steps in reverse):

1) Lift the cover sleeve to expose the jackscrew and jam nut.

2) Loosen the jam nut (the knurled / textured ring). The jam nut prevents backthreading, which will make it difficult to turn the jackscrew. The jamnut is often fixed securely in place so a wrench may be required.

3. Insert a screwdriver into the hole at bottom of the jackscrew and rotate in a counter-clockwise direction until the pole is lowered sufficiently to remove.

STANDARD HEIGHT OPTIONS
The standard SuperPole is accomodates ceiling heights ranging from 93-99” / 2362-2515mm.
For ceilings between 100-120”/254-305cm, simply add a Uni-Fit extender.

CUSTOM HEIGHT OPTIONS
For ceiling heights below 93”/236cm, the pole is custom cut to the required measurement at the factory.
For ceilings between 120-140”, the SuperPole Ultra is custom created to the measurements required.

You can install te SuperBar higher on the pole, however, the vertical grip will need to be shortened.

The grip is located 38″ / 965mm from the bottom of the pole, and is 20″ / 508mm long. The height will vary slightly as well, depending on the jackscrew expansion required for installation.

Yes, but only in some situations. There must be a flat and secure surface for the mattress and bed rail frame to rest on (i.e. a plywood panel). If the flat surface the mattress sits on has slats, gaps or holes, the bed rail frame could drop through, twist or become unstable.

While there is no specific recommendation or specification regarding the distance between a Floor Mast and the back wall, there are a few things to consider.

Consider the potential for entrapment. While there are no specific entrapment guideline for floor masts, consider both the FDA and Health Canada’s guidelines for bed rail entrapment (Zone 1 and Zone 2) for a suggested maximum distance. Using these guidelines, a space greater than 4 3/4″ between the mast and the back wall can present a risk of head entrapment. Note that there are instances where a wall may not be present or near the installation location. In these instances, the spacing this would not likely apply.
Consider the optimal distance that you would like the PT Rail to extend passed the toilet bowl. Installing the mast a few inches further from the back wall will provide additional gripping surface passed the edge of the toilet bowl. Recessing the PT MAST closer to the wall can provide additional space in a more confined toileting area.
Consider infection control. There should be enough space between the wall and the mast to allow for proper cleaning of the product.

All 4 mounting points of the P.T.Rail must secure to structural wood. The (supplied) 1/4″ x 3″ length lag bolts must be installed into structural wood framing. Structual backing often needs to be added inside the wall to allow for this. The PT Rail Wood Wall plate fastens to the surface of the wall, allowing the PT Rail to mounted to it without the need for backing. The PT Rail can also be mounted to a PT Rail Floow Mast, which is a post that installs into a structural floor.

If the wall is concrete, approriate wall anchors and bolts are required (not included).

Yes. The Ceiling Mount Trapeze utilizes our Easy Mount system for grab bars. This provides 9 holes around the flange to allow a minimum 2 mounting points into the joist. The mounting structure accomdates joist spacing of 24″/610mm (STP-CM-24), and 32″/813mm (STP-CM-32)

Yes – in some situations. There must be a flat and secure surface for the mattress and bed rail frame to rest on (i.e. a plywood panel). If the flat surface has gaps or holes, the bed rail frame could drop through, twist or become unstable.

Yes – The Smart-Rail frame extends 22″ / 559mm from the edge of the bed, so one can be installed on both sides without contacting each other. It will work for all bed sizes wider than a twin.

Yes. The Assista-Rail extends under the mattress 36″/914mm deep and 19.75″/502mm wide. If the bed size is smaller than a king size, you will likely need to ensure the frames don’t overlap. This may affect the placement of the rails.
